Hello
Thank you so much for visiting me, it's lovely to see you.
My name is Gina aka DarnLoopy, I was born in Hungary, and I moved to England in 2010 to live with my fiancee.
We live in a semi-detached house in the North-West of England, and here I spend my days decorating, cooking, crafting and gardening.
I love crafts, of which my favourite is crochet and knitting. I was taught it as a young child by my Grandmother, but just the basics which had been forgotten by myself for so long. When I moved to the United Kingdom a new world opened up before me with lots of craft stores being available here. Still, today if I'm in a craft store I feel like Alice in Wonderland and can get lost for hours. One of my visits made me remember that I once knew how to crochet, so I self-taught myself again with the help of the internet. My favourite items to crochet are stuffed animals called amigurumi and baby items, mostly little shoes.
Amigurumi (編みぐるみ , lit. crocheted or knitted stuffed toy) is the Japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals and anthropomorphic creatures. The word is derived from a combination of the Japanese words ami, meaning crocheted or knitted, and nuigurumi, meaning stuffed doll.[1] Amigurumi are typically animals but can include artistic renderings or inanimate objects endowed with anthropomorphic features,[2] as is typical in Japanese culture.
I love to create different things that make me warm and fuzzy inside, and smile on the outside! =)
