Natural, homemade facial regiment

As the title says I`m writing today about a little different thank crocheting! We will chat about natural, home-made facial cleaner, toner, exfoliates!
I will be 29 years old in February uhuhh.. and I never really cared for my skin. But slowly i do notice the changes in my skin, so decided to try to take care more of it. The problem what I met was COST. Blushing I tell you I`m not the all natural freak, but  why don`t make something your self, if it cost less than the ready product?
My best friend is Google, so searched the internet for good recipes, what doesn't t need something extra, fancy or what's not in my kitchen anyway.
So here are all the nice facial toners, cleaners recipes what I found easy , useful.

Natural make-up remover

I use since a time olive oil mixed with water to remove make-up. Most of the time I`m at home and don`t use make-up, but when I go to college or shopping sure use, we don`t want to scare people around, right? The olive oil and the water isn't mixing naturally so before every use I shake up my bottle very well, and apply a little on a cotton swab. I did hear, see people using just olive oil in self too, nothing bad about it!
Other what found on the internet is Coconut oil, yes the one from the food store :)

Natural toners/cleaners:

Milk! Plain simple milk. Strait from bottle, dab on cotton and tada enjoy.

Apple cider vinegar and water mix, 1:1 ratio but you might find you need to dilute the mixture more based on the sensitivity of your skin. Don`t was it off, the smell will go in some minutes, you wont be a walking salad :)

Rosewater! Lovely little thing and you can buy it ready. If you would like to can mix it with a little vegetable glycerine. 4 tablespoons Rose water to 3.5 oz. (100 gm) Glycerine.
Or mix 2 parts rose water and 1 part glycerin and make a lotion. Apply it nightly and let it work into your skin.

White wine, Rosemary, Thyme & Mint home-made facial toner

The rosemary in this home-made skin toner is a natural astringent and stimulates cell renewal and battles blemishes and acne outbreaks

What do you need:
1 teaspoon dried Rosemary
1 teaspoon dried Thyme
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh Mint leaves
1 cup White wine

How to do it:

Put all ingredients in a pan and let it gently simmer for 10 minutes. Leave it to steep and cool down for at least one hour. Strain it and throw away the herbs.

Or simple infusions of following herbs in water:
green tea

Take 2 teabags - organic- or leaves and boil water, add to leaves let it stay for 10 mins. Enjoy an duse!

Milk & Honey home-made facial cleanser

What do you need:
1 teaspoon dark organic Honey
1 tablespoon whole Milk (or cream)

How to do it:

Warm up the honey until it becomes runny (not too hot!) by putting it in a small glass or metal bowl which is immersed in hot water (or a few seconds in the microwave) Mix the honey and milk well.
Prepare fresh each time you use it.

Radiant skin

1/4 spoon vegetable oil
1/4 spoon lemon juice
1 spoon honey

Mix it well, apply to face, leave it for 10 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.

Rosewater and lemon juice in equal ratio. Mix together , apply to skin. Wash of after 20 minutes.

Cleaner for combination skin:

1/4 cup honey
1/2 cup cup mild liquid soap
1/2 cup water

Stir gently, fill it in a pump bottle, so it doesn't foams. Use it 2 times a day. Massage gently into skin, rinse with lukewarm water.

Sugar lemon juice scrub:

Combination skin use it just on the T-zone,use as any other scrubs.

1 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice

Basic Aspirin mask

The most basic aspirin mask, it will give the aspirin all the room it needs to do its work. Afterward your skin will feel even, nice and soft, and very radiant.

5-6 uncoated aspirin
Few drops of water

How to do it:

Break the aspirin in halves and put them in a cup or small bowl. Add 4 drops of warm water and crush the aspirin with a spoon. If it doesn't dissolve immediately add 1 drop of water at a time until you have a smooth white paste.
Spread the paste gently and equally with your fingertips on your clean face and neck; keep the eye area clear ,leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes.

Then take it off by gently massaging it into your skin and washing it away with warm water and end with a splash of cold; pat your skin dry with a clean towel.

A little extra idea, recipe try the following for hardening your nails. Soak your nails in olive oil, slightly warmed . If your nails tend to crack apply to it glycerine before bed.

Crochet cactus

In the last couple of days I was busy with going to course and trying to make some crocheted cactus.  Searched the internet for pattern/ideas and I found three useful pages what I would like to share with you. All of them has a pattern for different cactus and a little pot with it.

Gleeful Things - has an excellent little cute cactus for you, with little pot and love :) Three types of sweet tiny cactus.

And at end at flicker there is a photo tutorial by Nadia380, this tutorial did Elf use to create her written instructions with some changes I believe.

I used these patterns to create my own little cactus's  Tried both methods to create the cactus, and I'm still undecided which I like better. For the pot I think I will use an other method, because somehow when i crochet or sew them together with the dirt part, it just dosen`t looks neat by me, but probably that's my sewing skills :D What are nearly non exciting. Would love to learn sewing!

As usually my own creations will come later in photos.. I always forget to make in the work photos.. I get carried away with crocheting :)

Crochet headband

I made two nice headbands in the last days. Was looking all over the internet for some inspiration, and I found some pictures of so called chain headbands. I simply love them. Used to have a headband like that from the pound store with fake hair braided together but honestly it was horrible :D I liked to the look of it in the shop, came home and it was just ugggghh... So now that I was looking for ideas I saw made them from simple chain stitches. Defiantly a LOVE.

Check this out:

I love as it turned out! The little bow gives an extra kick to the simple headband.

And here is it in blue with a kind of flower motive. Sweet...

I was posting about heart garlands for Valentine Day last time, and said there will be more pictures. Well here we go :)

Have a nice evening!

Crochet heart garlands

I was being a busy little bee in last couple days! Worked on Valentines day items mainly and started to go to the collage on a course again. This is my 3rd on here in England, I really like it. At the moment I'm doing Business Administration entry level one.

Craft wise was working on some pink and red heart garlands, bunting. I still don't know whats the difference between the two things. Can someone enlighten me?  :D Silly from me not to know.. but oh well..

So here is some pictures of the garlands in making...

Don`t have pictures form the red ones at the moment but will be upload later.

The pattern is from here from Sarah if you would like to make some of your self. I think its a great pattern, and they work up fast the little hearts. Think they are a very nice decoration for Valentine`s Day.

 Have a nice day!

Panda, Bunny amigurumi and Baby booties...

Thanks God Xmas time is over, things are slowing back down again, so I could sit down again and Crochet!
Made a cute panda amigurumi, a bunny a doggy head.. some coasters and TAM TAM moment...I`m on my way to learn how to crochet adorable baby shoes and booties. Already made one pair, have done half pair Mary Jane `s too. The toys and coasters are already up in my Etsy shop, take a peekaboo! ->

Isn`t this just awwwwww?

The only part where I do scratch my head is the sizing. I looked on the internet, LOTS of places and all say different. If I would have a baby would be easier... ( sighs and looks at partner).. :D
So I decided just to go in description with the actual sole length as "size", no better idea. If you have any tip's, please SHARE with me :)

And as I was today working on my blog desing, I decided it is time that I look up directory's to include my self, and craft blogs.
The first one what I met is the UNIVERSAL CRAFT DIRECTORY by CraftyRie at Decided to add my blog, can`t harm, right?

Today i decided for some fast projects! And as i was browsing the books what i have, and the internet got the idea! Coasters! They are quiet fast to do, don't take up much yarn but still make pretty little things up :)

Look what i made :D

Work still in progress to sew the remaining together, but that will be done tomorrow. See ya :)
